Announcement! So It Begins…

Greetings, Members and Friends of The March!

The Wandering Folk Society is officially up and running as your hub for membership, event organization, and updates for The Reckoning LARP. Here’s what’s happening and what you need to know moving forward:

Platform Transition to Zeffy for Memberships and Payments

We are moving to Zeffy to handle memberships, meal plans, early check-in, and RV reservations. Zeffy is a nonprofit-friendly platform covering credit card processing fees at no cost to us. They do prompt members for an optional 10% donation to support their services, which you’re welcome to opt out of if you wish—but if you can, we encourage supporting Zeffy so they can continue offering zero-fee services for nonprofits like ours!

Annual Membership Renewals

Your membership dues will renew automatically each year, with reminders sent on September 1, October 1, and November 1. You can let it renew if you wish, but please remember that a new Membership Agreement will need to be signed for the renewal to be complete.

Policies, Procedures, and Agreements: Secure Access

All new Community and Participant Members will soon receive their Agreements with our Policies and Procedures. These will be accessible via a password-protected site. Please do not share this password. This portal will be your central resource, offering access to Agreements, Policies, and essential details like Meal Plans, Early Venue Access, and more.

For Stewards and Troupes: Your Agreements are on the way and will be sent from our Wandering Folk Society Secretary, Gwen Raziq, at secretary@wanderingfolksociety.org. Troupes will receive their password-protected site once their kit is approved by Lead Reckoning LARP Gamerunner, Joel Hardcastle. To submit your kits for approval, email gamerunning@wanderingfolksociety.org.

Vendor Membership

We’re reaching out to select vendors soon with Agreements. Vendor Memberships reserve a bazaar space and can be purchased alongside other membership tiers. These spaces are limited, so if you’re interested in vending, please contact vendors@wanderingfolksociety.org or complete our RFP form.

We’re currently seeking two specific vendor roles to support our event:

  1. Map Designer - We’re looking for someone to create a detailed, site-specific map with both an immersive look and a clear layout to guide folks and mark emergency sites during the event.

  2. Graphic Designer - We need assistance with creating graphics for our rulebook and potentially designing a Wandering Folk Society logo.

  3. Coins - We need to order 25,000 coins, please either fill out the RFP if you are a Vendor or email me at president@wanderingfolksociety.org.

Meal Plans and Pricing

Chef Isaacs, also known as Freya in-game, will lead The Barley Mule’s mobile catering, bringing us beautifully immersive meals. Available exclusively to Wandering Folk Society members, her menu accommodates both omnivorous and vegan preferences, with special dietary requests for religious or medical needs considered individually (contact details available in the member portal).

Pricing Options:

  • All-Meal Ticket: $180

  • Breakfast Ticket (Three Days): $60

  • Lunch Ticket (Two Days): $60

  • Dinner Ticket (Two Evenings): $75

  • Snack Ticket (Three Evenings): $30

A la Carte Pricing (reflecting additional logistical costs):

  • Breakfast: $25/each

  • Lunch: $25/each

  • Dinner: $45/each

  • Snack: $15/each

Stewards, Troupes, and Wardens receive discounts on all meal plan options. Note: All memberships with entry to Reckoning LARP include the closing feast on the evening of March 16. There will be an option to opt-out.

Rules and Upcoming Storyline Previews

The first draft of our rules document is nearly ready. We’re aiming to release it to Stewards for review by December, and a finalized draft will be available by year’s end. Look out for more announcements, storyline teasers, and media in the weeks ahead as our hardworking team brings The March to life!

Donations Welcomed

While donations to a 501(c)(7) like ours are not tax-deductible, every contribution supports our mission and helps us expand what Wandering Folk Society can offer. Donations go directly toward enriching our community, enhancing event experiences, and fostering more immersive LARP spaces.

Thank you for your dedication, patience, and enthusiasm. I’m honored to be working alongside each of you in building this shared adventure.

With deep gratitude,

Your President of Wandering Folk Society,
Gabrielle "Gabby" Johnson, also known as
Gwyn Brightleaf of Rivlan in the March
