NPC Code of Conduct

Every Member who roleplays as a non-player Character at our Event is otherwise called an NPC. An NPC may or may not partake in the operation or overseeing of an Event and primarily exists to be only a Character who cannot gain advantage in the game for their Culture or Themselves (for any “Winning”). An NPC who does not partake in the operation or overseeing of the Event and so may only get say in their separate Troupes per their separate Leads is known as a Troupe Member who may have to pay for a Troupe Membership in order to contribute to their provisions or shelter budget. A Troupe Member is expected to know and then maintain the Community, Event, and NPC Code of Conduct. The Community and Event Member Code of Conduct is above. Anyone who is a non-player character, may also have to know and maintain the Troupe Member Code of Conduct. The NPC Code of Conduct includes:

1.      Heightened In-Game Responsibility with Roleplay Experience

§  We will behave as NPCs fairly, encouraging others’ stories, engaging in enthusiastic roleplay, and safeguarding all immersive and consent-based roleplay rules. We NPCS hold a unique role in enhancing the immersive experience of Wandering Folk Society’s events. This role comes with a heightened expectation of experienced roleplay that prioritizes the physical, emotional, and mental safety of all Participant Members. Troupe Members are encouraged to create fun and immersive experiences that respect boundaries, foster inclusivity, and support a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved. We Troupe Members will also value our energy and mental and physical capacities; our priority is primarily to facilitate others’ fun and be safe ourselves to help model safety for others. We will help where we can. For any Game or Event in which we have received some type of knowledge which can be used to our advantage, we will not be able to Win and we will respect that. We will otherwise be fair in all impromptu or skills-based events that we may engage or participate in. We understand we represent the Event and the Setting created at the event in some capacity. We must know the Mechanics and Rules. We must also keep confidential the storylines from Members who may even be our friends, to ensure the integrity of the Game and allow Players to have fun at the game. We will familiarize ourselves with any additional Policies sent to us by the Society and any materials sent to us by our Stewards and Wardens for purposes of knowing our role in a story- or questline created for players.
